If you have landed at this blog then it is most likely that you are interested in the Laws of Attraction or in the Art of Living Consciously.

The Art teaches you to be aware of everything you feel, do and experience in your life. In return, it helps you form a relationship with The Universe. The Universe, which some call God (or the Creator). Some call the subconscious mind and some that know it to be The Source of All Good!

A relationship is healthy and strong when the parties understand and respect each other. The Art of Living consciously allows you to (at least) attempt to understand how The Universe works. It teaches you the basic laws that will allow you to deposit and withdraw from The Universe. A law that has placed THOUGHT as #1 requirement in dealing with The Universe. But this requirement has conditions attached.

It is not enough for us to simply think. We have to do something more with the thought. We have to be sincere about our thoughts and—we have to believe in our thought.

For example, one of my desires is to be financially wealthy. But I don’t want to just win the lottery or get an inheritance. I want to feel the pleasure and the pain of accumulating this wealth. And I want to earn it doing something I am passionate about or at least enjoy doing.

So in accordance with the Laws of Attraction (or Laws of The Universe) I formed my thoughts into a question. A language that The Universe will understand (receive) and answer appropriately.

So the thought was “how can we be financially abundant”?

Remember I said that if you want a relationship to work, it is imperative that the parties understand each other? So your thoughts (questions) must be in asked in a form that The Universe understands. So many of us organize our thoughts by saying “I want more money” or worse yet “I wish I had more money”.

What is more money to you? The Universe is not going to know this. So when you wish for more money, The Universe may—and can deliver a $0.01 penny more to you every day! So your question (or thoughts) must be clear to The Universe so it is able to answer appropriately.

Interpret carefully my thought of the day and tell me what sort of answer I should expect from The Universe. If you think that the Universe is going to show me “the path” to financial abundance then you are correct! Because it is this—that I am asking for.

I want to know, how. I don’t want to just magically become a millionaire (although that is possible too) but I want to know how I can attract money into my life through the means of something that I enjoy doing!

I had asked this question back in 2007 actually. And the answer I received was in line with what I had learnt from Dr. Nathaniel Branden’s books. The answer was that I would have to work on my self image first!

Even today, when I asked this question, I am getting the same answer back. There is more work to be done on opinion of my self worth, self esteem, self image.

So then:

What do I believe I am worth financially?

• I believe I am worthy of earning $80,000.00 per annum from my full time job and my part time love (this blog).
• Is my self image congruent with my desires?

This is the moment where the truth reveals itself. Are you a prisoner of your own limitation or do you believe that you are you worthy of unlimited abundance?

With my example, I had to ask myself why I believed that I am worthy of only $80,000.00 income? Is this because this is the number that I am comfortable earning (i.e. I am scared if I earned more I would have to sacrifice something else in my life) or is this amount something that I just decided on?

And if I have decided on this number then why did I ‘settle’ for $80K per annum? What’s limiting me to earning $100K or even $1M per annum?

Now trust me when I tell you that the saying “when the student is ready the teachers will come” is so true. For these questions did not come from the conscious me but rather from within—the subconscious me. You must remember—from the preceding post on this subject—the definition of The Subconscious Mind. These two questions are profound and necessary. Because it is the answer to these questions that will help us build the momentum to realizing our desire.

If you accomplish your desires within a short period of answering these questions then you know your self image is congruent with your desire. So this then is the time for you to dream bigger dreams!

If it is taking too long, then you need to re-visit these questions and ask yourselves again. What’s obstructing you from reaching your goals?

You must have heard of a vision board as a tool or acting as if you are living the life of your dreams today. These tool work—and they work very well. But they work only if there is congruence between your dreams and your self image.

People will always feel and perform in accordance with what we believe is true of ourselves and our environment! We cannot escape our self image!

The formula to improving our self image is quite simple really—Decide + Believe = Achieve!
