Did you know that it takes ONLY 20 minutes of your time every day to maintain a healthy lifestyle? It’s true! 20 minutes per day – 7 days per week to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Here is what you need to do.
| Sunday: | 20 minutes – plan your meals and workouts for the entire week. |
| Monday: | 20 minutes workout— (includes 5 minutes warm up-10 minutes cardio – 5 minutes cool down) |
| Tuesday: | 20 minutes —total body toning |
| Wednesday: | 20 minutes workout — (includes 5 minutes warm up-10 minutes cardio – 5 minutes cool down) |
| Thursday: | 20 minutes workout —total body toning |
| Friday: | 20 minutes workout — (includes 5 minutes warm up-10 minutes cardio – 5 minutes cool down) |
| Saturday: | 20 minutes to shop for groceries |
Saturday and Sunday can be performance enhancing days. Choose a target workout and promise to spend some time exercising. Example, I want to increase the number of pull ups I am able to do. So on Saturday and Sunday, sporadically with no set time, I will do some pull ups when I walk past my pull up station. This was also how I increased my push ups from 1 man push up (on my toes) to over 24 depending on what I have eaten.
The other great thing about scheduling only 20 minutes is that you can perform interval circuit workouts to maximize calories burnt. For example, a spinning class will burn more calories than floor aerobic. Similarly, a 5 minute jump rope workout will burn more calories riding a stationery bike. So maximize these 20 minutes by scheduling workouts that allow you to output peak performance.
