Principles of Joy—Conclusion

6. Positive Mental Attitude!

Henry Ford said it right—If you think you can or if you think you can’t … you are right!

I have never believed in this phrase more so than lately in my life. I was brought up believing all things are possible if I just believed. But, I never thought that it is my mental attitude and my recurring thoughts that made the possible a reality!

I have learnt first hand that what you think about— you definitely bring about! So grab the opportunity to think big and great of yourself every second of the day!

Living life with positive mental attitude not only limits (if not kills) negative thinking but also changes your personality (in time) from a grouch to someone full of life! To stay in the attitude, have one affirmation picked that brings you joy instantly. Then, every time you feel drab, start repeating this affirmation and watch how your change in focus changes your mood and events of the day—for the better!

My favourite affirmation is “Thank you God for all that I have and for all that I am about to receive”. It reminds me of my good fortune. It express gratitude and is so positive an affirmation that it leaves me feeling connected to the Source of all good instantly.

A joyful life without positive mental attitude is just not possible and so I had to include this—as one of the final principles of living life with joy. If you are not able to implement all the principles posted here then at least please adopt principles #VI and watch yourself bloom with joy, prosperity and abundance!
